THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO, DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS (, RADY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, SAN DIEGO (, and CHILDREN’S SPECIALISTS OF SAN DIEGO are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and are seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist with advanced non‐invasive imaging training and/or extensive experience in Fetal Cardiology to join our team. The ideal applicant should have expertise in the imaging and care of fetal cardiology patients and their mothers. Candidates at all career stages with strong clinical, research, and teaching abilities are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and licensed or licensable to practice medicine in the state of California.

RCHSD’s 551‐bed hospital serves as the major regional tertiary care hospital for children, and is the major teaching facility for the Department of Pediatrics of the UC San Diego School of Medicine. The Division provides a full range of Pediatric Cardiology services with 20+ pediatric cardiologists, three cardiothoracic surgeons, and an ACGME‐approved fellowship training program. The Division supports a program with more than 500 cardiac surgical procedures and over 12,000 echocardiograms yearly.


Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. Series will be determined by the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications and funding.
